Several of New York State's 26 new farm breweries have banded together to promote their businesses and NYS agriculture through the formation of the Farm Brewers Association of NY. In its infancy (only about 2 weeks old), the group has already scheduled its first membership meeting and created a very nice Facebook presence
Here is their Facebook manifesto...
To promote New York State Farm Breweries.
This organization seeks to unite New York Farm Breweries for the purpose of:
1. Better understanding the parameters of the New York Farm Brewery license.
2. Distributing our beer and other products with each other.
4. Promoting and marketing farm breweries, their beer, and their products.
3. Connecting farm breweries with New York farmers and suppliers.
Plants come in 4 1/2 inch pots and in trays of 12, but it is not necessary to purchase any one variety in a full tray. Orders can be placed for however many plants of each variety is needed. No dead line for ordering. Date of availability for plants to be picked up will depend on date ordered. The earlier the order is placed, the better the chance for pick up by Memorial Day weekend. Pick up will be at Bundshuh's Greenhouses. People may call the greenhouse at 315-986-8872, leave a message and someone will return their call.
Varieties Available: Cascade, Fuggle, Liberty, Newport, Perle, Williamette, Chinook, Cluster, Centennial, Kent Golding, and Tettnang.
